Itineraries
Day 1
Airport - Amman
Arrive to Queen Alia International Airport, our representative will meet and assist you with customs and immigration formalities to get the visa , then transfer to Amman to the hotel for overnight.
Day 2
Amman - Jerash - Ajloun ( Anjara & Tell Mar Elias ) - Amman
Breakfast at the hotel. Drive to Jerash, A close second to Petra on the list of favorite destinations in Jordan is the ancient city of Jerash, which boasts an unbroken chain of human occupation dating back more than 6,500 years. a tour through the colonnaded street, amphitheater, Churches, temples and the vast Roman Forum. to the best preserved Roman City Gerasa, which is called Jerash today, and known also as the city of a 1.000 pillars. Then proceed to Ajloun through pine forests and olive groves to visit Anjara, the town that mentioned in the bible as a place where Jesus , his mother Mary and his disciples passed through and rested in the nearby cave . This cave has long been a holy place for pilgrims , has now been commemorated with a modern shrine - Church of our lady of the mountain . Then continue to visit Tell Mar Elias ( which is associated with prophet Elijah ), it is a religious place combined two churches that were built on the hilltop during the byzantine period . back to the hotel for overnight
Day 3
Amman - City Tour - Bethany - Madaba
Breakfast at the hotel, Amman, the capital of Jordan ,is a fascinating city of contrasts , a unique blend of old & new, ideally situated on a hilly area between the desert and fertile Jordan valley . Start the day with a city tour of Amman which include ( Amman Citadel , Roman Theater , Archaeological Museum , Panoramic tour of Down town ) , continue to the Baptism site ( Bethany Beyond Jordan ) , where Jesus was Baptized , has long been known from the Bible ,the Byzantine text and Medieval texts . Also it was appropriate for John the Baptist to begin his mission from the same place that Elijah had ended his life . There are a lot of things to see as ( Byzantine monastery and contain churches and chapels , baptism and water storage pools , Praying hall with mosaic paved that probably consider the earliest building for this specific use to have been identify anywhere in the world . Continue to Madaba for overnight at the hotel
Day 4
Madaba - Mt. Nebo - Um ER Rasas - Kerak - Petra
Breakfast at the hotel . Visit the Sanctuary at Mount Nebo , It is the place where Moses was buried and the most revered holy site in Jordan .when atop this mountain, one can see, as Moses did, the vast panorama that encompasses the Jordan river valley, the Dead Sea , Jericho, and Jerusalem , often referred to as the holy land . Proceed to Madaba (City of Mosaics), Madaba is one of the most memorable places in the holy land , Dubbed “ the city of mosaics “ , Madaba offers many sites to explore , amongst them the chief attraction in the contemporary Greek Orthodox church of St. George is a wonderfully vivid , 6th century Byzantine mosaic map showing Jerusalem and other holy sites . Panoramic tour in madaba to visit some churches as Apostils church , Virgin church , mosaic hand craft shop ..etc Continue to Um Ar Rasas , a rectangular walled city which is mentioned on both the old and new testaments of the bible . it was fortified by the Romans , local Christian were still embellishing it with Byzantine – style mosaic well over 100 years after the start of the Muslim Umayyad rule . Then continue southward along the Kings way one of the oldest trade routes in the world. It runs 200 miles along Jordan's hilly backbone. Continue to Kerak via Wadi Muijb canyon and visit the great crusader castle of Kerak. Proceed to Petra for overnight at the hotel.
Day 5
Petra “The rose red city
Breakfast at the hotel .Visit Petra, One of the world new seven wonder, is without a doubt Jordan’s most valuable treasure and greatest tourist attraction. It is a vast, unique city, carved into the sheer rock face by the Nabataeans, an industrious Arab people who settled here more than 2000 years ago, turning it into an important junction for the silk, spice and other trade routes that linked China, India and southern Arabia with Egypt, Syria, Greece and Rome. Full day visit of Petra to explore the spectacular treasures of Petra (The Red Rose city half as old as time), enter through the impressive narrow gorge (Siq), leads marvelously to the magical moment, when you can glimpse the Treasury, continue to the street of facades, the Royal Tombs, the Cardo, Temples, Churches, Museums,…etc Return to the hotel and overnight.
Day 6
Petra - Dead Sea - Amman
Breakfast at the Hotel. Proceed to the Dead Sea, it is a dramatic place on the earth with its stunning natural environment equally matched by it is powerful spiritual symbolism . the bible variously calls it the Sea of Arabah , the Salt Sea and the Arab people have always known it as Bahr Lut . Without a doubt the world’s most amazing place, is over 400m (1,312 ft.) below sea level. The lowest point on the face of the earth. It is one of the most spectacular natural and spiritual landscapes in the world. So the best place for floating and relaxation, Back to Amman for overnight at the hotel .
Day 7
Amman - QAIA
Breakfast at the hotel , Transfer to Queen Alia International Airport for departure
